Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes text commentary for Sunday's games on various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through select stations for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six in the football calendar and after last week's talk about two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests were the number of penalties both committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially beat themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this weekend.

But it was positive to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to overcome the shortfall and then lead three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the victory by four points.

Denver boast the top defender with cornerback their star corner. They are first in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that contest.

They had effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always sending extra pass rushers instead they could position two linebackers in the interior before drop them out and dispatch a nickel from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program how Denver might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year strongly then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has stepped up big while new running back JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).

I love that the coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

That shows how Denver represent a team that wants to run first, since one can achieve much off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush while keeps you in positive situations.

It's also helped quarterback Bo Nix, who came the NFL as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 TDs – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they don't move in the same way as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he is highly agile.

His strengths include his mobility, being able to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can deliver precision throws across the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great composure under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and remains very decisive.

If you constantly run the ball it consumes the clock and makes the defence to be on the field extended periods, and when you've got a mobile QB the defense must defend the field vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.

The quarterback has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and it seems Payton likes that fire, that he's such a competitor. I think it's fun for the coach to coach a rookie QB that is similar to play-dough. He can really build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. I think the success Denver are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB helps shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a more qualified person guiding you, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and boost self-belief.

I believe in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face a top squad at its best? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to hold their division. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their forte, which is the ground game, and this is exactly what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad without a win any game.

Ever since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway through five games, which is surprising when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after a recent loss by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the division.

This hinges upon what version Kansas City shows up they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
