Vehicles in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police stated they were contacted by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Approximately fifty cars have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.

Police say they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests indicate the substance was likely human blood.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; officials are currently not informed of any harm in connection with the event," they commented.

Local authorities said they were working "to resolve the case" and have requested to the residents for details.

An important representative said the incident left him stunned and had to be resolved rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist attack five years ago," he stated on online, referring to the killing of nine individuals by a gunman aiming at residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
