Uche Ignites Comfortable Palace Win at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
A Shelbourne team that had finished their domestic season proved outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The Londoners were already depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
