Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Position Following Narrating Contentious Covid Film

The "Taken" star has provided his narration to a feature-length documentary that challenges the legitimacy of immunizations and praises one-time health official the political figure.

The Film's Disputed Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for assertions that the illness was a result of a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. He wrote online praising Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Firm Rebuttal

A spokesperson for the actor have released a comment strongly denying claims that he holds anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all acknowledge that unethical practices can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the comment states. "Liam has never been, and is not, against vaccines. His long work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It added that the star was not involved in crafting the film's editorial content and that questions about its claims should be directed to the producers.

Major Themes In the Film

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson includes several provocative statements:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "medical science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • It also criticizes pandemic restrictions, saying they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it references a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Controversy and Recent Issues

The documentary includes a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the subject of a correction by the network for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr instructed the national health agency to revise its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Record of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the finish of our journey. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
