Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Appearances in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has died at the age of 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in LA recently having undergone treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, according to reports.
"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones said in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
A Notable TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, playing a social organizer who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His film credits are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
A Life in Improv
Away from his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was a member of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised countless students over the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is survived by his wife Donna, his three kids, and his family.
