Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the uproar from his recent interview.
The Incident
The striker was dropped from a vital match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”
The manager has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.

The player stated that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
The midfielder also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a desire to win,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, getting results and starting to win games.”
